Since graduating from Camberwell College of Arts, I have worked on a wide range of documentaries for the major UK and US broadcasters. I’ve directed self-shot single films including: a Mary Portas programme about Barbie, a programme about MPs' constituency surgeries (featuring Nick Clegg, Jacob Rees-Mogg and Naz Shah) and one about a university graduate turned porn star. I've also worked on award-winning series such as 'Hospital' and 'SAS: Who Dares Wins' and with talent such as Stacey Dooley, Stacey Solomon and The Osbournes.
I love working on intelligent projects with teeth and humour. Equally, I have a strong track record in negotiating tricky access, often in highly sensitive situations. I am an experienced and confident shooter (I own my own FX6 kit) but have also Gallery Produced on some of the UK’s most popular rig shows. I enjoy seeing projects through the edit and have recently Edit Produced on series at Lightbox, Mindhouse and Expectation.
I help manage ‘We are Doc Women’, a collective of directors, producers, assistant producers and executive producers advocating for equal opportunities, greater support and fair recognition for women working in factual TV.
